At Advent Sporthorse Farm, we approach horse sales like arranging a marriage. The buyer and sales prospect need to be suitable for each other for the new partnership to have the best chance of success.
Since the horse is most at risk if the partership fails, we feel it's important to disclose both positives and negatives about our horses so that the buyer can make informed decisions.
Sale horses will be represented to the best of our knowledge and ability. It is extremely important that our horses find good, safe, loving homes.

SOLD - ASF Spotfire
2013 Chestnut Tobiano Colt
(ASF Spark x Savoir Faire)
Spotfire is HUGE. He is hands down the LARGEST colt we've ever produced. His dam is a homebred 17.3 hand warmblood mare, and even she wasn't this big when she was born and growing. She grew to 17.3, so there is really no telling how tall this colt will eventually get, but he should easily hit 17 hands, and then some. It's likely that he will be closer to 18 hands. He has not been string tested, yet. He has some serious bone to provide a foundation for his size. This boy will not be a lightweight.
His neck ties in higher on his shoulder, and he has a definitely uphill build. He will be best suited for eventing, jumpers and dressage. He could also be suitable for fox hunting or as a field hunter.
He has three good workmanlike gaits, and a very comfortable looking, rocking horse canter. He does lead changes effortlessly, and has executed some lovely canter pirouettes (not rollbacks) from a standstill. If only I'd had a camera to capture it!
So if you are looking for size, substance, athleticism in a fancy and friendly package, stop and look closer at Spotfire.
Price: $7500 (prior to being started under saddle)

SOLD - Tinkertown Kid (Twinkie)
1997 APHA 15.2 Hand Buckskin Tobiano Mare
Twinkie is a truly wonderful mare and I hate to part with her. But as much as she decorates our pastures, we simply aren't doing anything with her, and it's a shame to let such a lovely mare just sit and go to waste.
This mare has produced some incredibly nice, athletic foals for me and previous owners, but in addition to being a broodmare, she rides both English and Western, is GREAT on trails, and has even been used in a friend's lesson program. She goes where you ask, isn't spooky, and has very comfortable gaits to sit. She is NOT a speed horse, but is not a total dead head, either. She moves out nicely on trails, but will downshift easily from the faster gaits.
She is also a LOVELY mover, and gorgeous to look at. She turns heads even when she is standing still. She's an honest 15.2, goes barefoot, is an easy keeper, and doesn't have any vices. She is a pleasure to own, and doesn't have any vices. It will hurt to see her go, but if the right fit is found, I will let her go. Excellent home a MUST. Broodmare lease considered to the RIGHT home.

SOLD - Pleasant Way (Diva)
2003 Black 16.3 Hand Thoroughbred Mare
(Roanoke x Star On Her Way)
Diva is a TRUE BLACK Thoroughbred. She is the granddaughter of Pleasant Colony, winner of the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and 2nd in the Belmont Stakes. Diva is a Pennsylvania bred and raced TB mare, that retired sound and was retrained as a jumper. A friend wanted to get back into riding jumpers, bought her and shipped her to TX, campaigned her briefly on the THJA circuit, then realized that she no longer wanted to pursue jumpers. Diva then became a broomare, and produced one foal for my friend before I purchased her. Diva has now produced a lovely filly by our stallion, Spark, on 3/23/2013, and is reluctantly offered for sale to an approved home, as we have decided to keep her daughter. She is currently pasture fit and open for breeding in 2015.
Price: $1500 (broodmare only at this time)
SOLD - Pleasant Surprise
2015 Bay WB Filly
(ASF Spark x Pleasant Way)
Surprise is a fancy, modern type WB filly that is eligible for inspection with the American Warmblood Society (AWS). She has been imprinted and handled regularly since birth and is a pleasure to handle. Sweet, frienldy and well-scoialized, she is easy to lead, groom and pick up her feet.
Price: $1500 (prior to being weaned)

Pretty Boy (Advertising for a friend, but currently not available)
2005 Bay Gelding
Pretty Boy
Pretty Boy is sound for any discipline, but his seller is hoping to find him a wonderful dressage home. She feels that he is best suited for that career, and has invested a great deal of time on his flatwork, focusing on western dressage, her discipline of choice. She has other geldings that are better suited to her and her western dressage, so that makes Pretty Boy available.
He's not a dead head, and has a willing "engine" that responds very well to soft, quiet aids. No need for spurs or whips.
He's a very friendly, personable boy with tons of personality. He's a total love bug and thrives on attention.
Price: $4500 (will consider reasonable offers)

Lacy
2012 Black & White Tobiano APHA Filly
Lacy is one very sweet little mare. Emphasis on both "sweet" and "little". She's a fully registered APHA mare, but will never reach horse size. She's going to remain small and petite, but don't let that bother you. She is one VERY FANCY little lady. She's got floaty hunter type movement, and will be an elegant pony or small junior hunter. She could also become a fancy little sport pony or be a lovely edition to a sport pony breeding program. She's a perfect example that good things come in small packages.
Price: $1800 (prior to being started under saddle)

For Sale
ASF Playing With Matches
2013 Bay & White Tobiano WB/TBx Filly
Matches is a FANCY, athletic little mare. She's eligible for registration with Pinto Horse Association of America (PtHA) and eligible for inspection and registration with the American Warmblood Society and Sporthorse Registry (AWSSR). She's currently standing 15.2 1/2 hands, and should mature around 15.3 hands. She has floaty, hunter type movement that would make her shine in the hunter ring as a small junior hunter, or a smaller AO mount. She is light and careful with her feet, and could do very well in jumpers and eventing. She will be a more forward, sensitive ride rather than a kick ride.
Price: $4500 (prior to being started under saddle)

Dark Thirty
2010 Dark Bay (almost black) WB/QHx Gelding
DT was started when he was younger, then turned out for an extended period due to previous owner's circumstances. He has recently returned to work, I can't say enough good things about him. He has the basics (WTC), and can be ridden out on trail rides, in company or solo. He's pretty calm and uncomplicated, in spite of being green. He's easy to catch, lead, tie, groom, bathe, deworm, trim, tack up, and ride. He is an easy loader and hauls quietly, and handles the commotion at equestrian events very well. He was schooled up to 2'6 - 2'9" before he was turned out, and that's the one thing we haven't done with him, yet.
Price: $6500
