Sellecka is not your typical chestnut TB mare. She's got a large frame with substantial bone and large hooves to support all of it. In addition, she's got the most calm, sweet, gentle personality. She has been an old soul from birth. She was bred by Red Fox Farm that was located in Bryan, TX during their heyday, and she is no exception to the quality horses that they produced. They never started her under saddle, but instead, utilized her in their breeding program. After producing 3 extremely nice colts for them, Advent Sporthorse Farm was able to purchase her.

UPDATE: Sellecka was declining over the past year, and she finally went down during Hurricane Harvey. She was found after she crossed the over. God Speed, you grand, sweet mare.

She's only produced one foal for Advent, but it was arguably the nicest prospect we've had to date. She may no longer be breeding sound to carry foals to term, but if planets line up, and finances are available, we may try embryo transfer in 2016. THIS mare, and her genetics, are worth the attempt.
