Phoenix is a beautiful, structurally balanced and athletic young mare with solid bone and excellent hooves.  She possesses three supple, fluid gaits with natural impulsion with the potential to be an all-around sporthorse.   She was imprinted at birth, but orphaned at one month of age, and has been handled regularly throughout her life.  She's been accident prone, and suffered a couple serious injuries to a hind leg (ironically the same leg), but has miraculously recovered and regained her soundness each time.  She has been worked lightly at liberty in the roundpen, but hasn't been started under saddle, yet.  Plans are to start her as a five year old in 2016.  Our babies are started later than most, allowing them to grow without the stresses of training and riding on immature, developing bones and joints.  

 

Phoenix got her name, in part, due to the bird in flight

marking on her neck.
