Our mares have been carefully selected because they possess qualities and traits that will produce phenotypes we are striving to produce.
Mares are NOT for sale unless specifically stated. None of our mares are for sale at this time.
Our Mares

2001 Bay Appendix Quarter Horse (AQHA)
17.2 Hands
"Critter" is nothing short of impressive. Standing a full, measured 17.2 hands barefoot, she is often mistaken for a warmblood. She was been started lightly under saddle, and has been schooled on the flat and over fences, but has not been shown and promoted due to time constraints. She has 3 very good, balanced, elastic gaits and correct jumping form over fences. To add icing to the cake, she also has substantial bone and excellent hooves, combined with a wonderful disposition.

1997 Chestnut Thoroughbred

Meet Sellecka! She's the daughter of Chris The Dancer, better known by his show name, Selleck. She's got a calm, quiet, puppy dog disposition. She's a chestnut thoroughbred mare that is the opposite of the stereotype. This mare is the epitome of a matriarch. And she also has 3 elastic gaits full of suspension. She's had some light training on the under saddle, but has mostly been a broodmare throughout her life, putting some very nice foals on the ground.
UPDATE: We lost Sellecka during Hurricane Harvey. She had been aging and declining for several months, but still was happiest turned out with the herd. She chose her time and place to cross over, and my biggest regret is not being there to say "goodbye". She'll be dearly missed.

1998 Dun Overo Paint (APHA)
16.3 Hands
Special is a large, fancy mare that was never started under saddle due to a significant injury as a youngster that has made her unsound fo riding. So she went straight into a broodmare career.
She has produced some very nice foals for previous owners, and we hoped she would do the same for Advent, but cancer took her before her time, instead. She was sweet and gentle, and a pleasure to have around while we had her.
Sheza Special Dee (Special)

2007 Black & White Tovero Paint (APHA)
16.2 Hands
Bling is a very fancy, hunter type mare that was started under saddle as a youngster in North Carolina. She sustained a back injury with an incompetent "trainer" that has resulted in lingering issues, making her unsuitable for riding due to discomfort and back pain.
She is 100% breeding sound, and has been exposed to ASF Spark for a 2016 foal. It should be a very athletic foal that is also easy on the eyes. Really looking forward to seeing what this cross produces.
UPDATE: Bling delivered a healthy bay tobiano colt on June 28th, 2016. He's been named "Firestorm", and will be offered for sale when he's a little older.
Dignitary Pink Lady (Bling)

2007 Grey Pinto American Warmblood
16.2+ Hands
Wish is the darling of Advent Sporthorse Farm. She is an Art Deco daughter that was born black and white, but has mostly grayed out. She's been lightly started under saddle, and been a delight to work with. She's a large-bodied, solid mare with a wonderful dispostion, baroque type conformation and very good gaits.
She is a maiden mare, and will continue to remain that way, while we spend more time with training and enjoying her under saddle.
ASF Whitewash (Wish)

2008 Bay Roan TB/PaintX
16.2+ Hands
Frosty is a newer mare. She is a large bodied mare with excellent bone and hooves. She's athletic with three solid gaits and moves like a warmblood, and she shows a strong aptitude for jumping. Her history is mostly unknown, but she had been lightly re-started under saddle, and we are working on undoing some previous mental "baggage" from previous owners.
She is a maiden mare, but we hope to change that with a 2015 breeding to Goldmaker. She was confirmed in foal in July 2015 for a June 2016 foal. UPDATE: Frosty delivered a handsome, healthy buckskin colt on May 23, 2016. We lost that wonderful colt on June 1st, 2016 at 9 days of age when he was attacked and killed by a dog. We are heartbroken over this loss, and will consider trying again next year.
Texas Frost (Frosty)

1996 Grey American Warmblood Society (AWS)
17.3 Hands
Savvy is the biggest of the broodmares standing 17.3 hands barefoot. She's the gentle giant that can't be missed.
She has produced some very nice foals, and has been retired from breeding, and has gone on to a new career at Stable-Spirit, a hippotherapy center in Rose City, TX. They do wonderful things for people with disabilities and needs, and we are delighted that Savvy is helping others heal with her calm demeanor.
Savoire Fair (Savvy)

ASF Starlit
2009 Chestnut Trakehner/TBx
16 Hands
Starlit is an up and coming young mare that has been well-started and schooled under saddle. She recently came back to TX after being out on a lease for three years, and Lexi is looking forward to riding, and possibly showing her.
She is currently open with no immediate plans to breed her, even though her sire is Harper, the lovely Trakehner sired by the legendary Mahon, and out of the outstanding mare, Helena. Starlit will be kept as a riding horse for the time being.
See You At Home (See Ya)
2001 Chestnut Thoroughbred/Paint
Double registered with Jockey Club and APHA
16.1+ Hands
See Ya is a daughter of See Me Com'en, a double registered TB/Paint. She's another wonderful chestnut thoroughbred mare that is a true pleasure to own. With 3 very solid gaits, good bone and a great mind, she's already produced some nice foals for previous owners.
