2015 Sporthorse Filly ~ Pleasant Surprise ~ SOLD
(ASF Spark x Pleasant Way)
Pleasant Surprise totally lives up to her name. She was born on August 23, 2015, and is the result of a late pasture breeding, and we weren't certain the mare was pregnant until shortly before she foaled. SURPRISE!
She is the 6th foal produced by ASF Spark, but happens to be the 5th filly, and the first non-pinto foal he's thrown. But this filly doesn't need the extra chrome to be extra fancy. She's feminine and elegant like her Thoroughbred dam, Pleasant Way, with a splash of extra substance from her sire. She's athletic, balanced, attractive and very well socialized. She's an absolute sweetheart, very friendly and an absolute treat to handle and work with. She'se halter broke, easy to leadand picks up her feet. She's a very intelligent and willing learner. This filly has received regular consistent handling that will give her a foundation which should make her pleasant to train in the future. There's that word again... PLEASANT! It's undeniable with this filly.
The dam was sold shortly before we confirmed her pregnancy, so the new owner was genuinely surprised to learn that she's acquired a 2-in-1 package. She had plans for the broodmare, but not for the unknown baby on board. So the "bonus baby" is being offered for sale to an approved home. She's expected to mature 16.1 or taller based on her parents heights, and will be a very fancy, modern, athletic, agile, supple, and balanced prospect. Both of her parents have aptitudes for jumping, so this filly should follow suit with the right foundation and training. She should be well-suited as a hunter, equitation horse, jumper, eventer or dressage mount.
